About This Role
As a Market Research Analyst, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success and growth of Levy and Compass Group. A successful person in this position will be able to see the world from a marketing and business perspective, as well as from a researcher perspective.

You will serve as an insights contributor, conducting qualitative and quantitative market research via both custom methodologies and syndicated data. This position requires a high degree of collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients to drive consumer-centric strategies, present forward-thinking consumer trends, and socialize market insights.

This role requires a person who is both analytical and creative. You must be able to pull disparate pieces of data or information together for a cohesive and insightful consumer story, as well as be able to highlight the key takeaways and action points for a variety of stakeholders both internal to E15, internal to Levy/Compass (Operators, Chefs, Marketing), and external clients (client executives).

  • Conducting custom market research (both quantitative and qualitative) to determine consumer segmentation, perceptions, and preferences
  • Collaborating on the development of experience strategies and blueprints based on research
  • Mining data from a variety of third-party research tools
  • Creating insightful, relevant analysis of key industry topics, including food and beverage trends
  • Crafting compelling stories from complex data and information to address key client business issues
  • Developing written reports and PowerPoint presentations to convey findings and recommendations to leadership, clients, operators, business analysts and a multitude of other stakeholders
  • Be an active contributor and partner with Clients and internal stakeholders
  • Developing market research insights to support sales efforts
  • Collaborating with clients from a variety of industries, including sports & entertainment, large corporations, healthcare networks, and higher education campuses
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative market research
  • Ability to recommend and understand various market research methodologies based on project objectives
  • Willingness to tackle complex, often unfamiliar research requests
  • A talent for seeing the patterns behind data, and understanding what these patterns might mean for consumers and the companies serving those consumers
  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures
  • The ability to communicate difficult concepts in a clear, straightforward way
  • A flair for nurturing and building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with third-party market data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) is preferred
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is preferred
  • Can provide examples of thought leadership in market research work

Education Requirement
Degree in Business, Economics, Psychology, Political Science, Sociology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred, though candidates with relevant experience who hold other degrees will be considered.

Experience Requirement
Minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience conducting consumer insights research, market research, survey design/analysis, and other methodologies.
