Job Description

The Manager of Business Insights position is focused on creating new insights and optimizing foodservice operations in the Business and Industry, Higher Education, and Healthcare sectors. In this role, you will lead analyses on factors that impact daily food service operations and create client-facing presentations detailing findings. You will work alongside operators, culinarians, marketing, and finance team members to help them make data driven adjustments in their business operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with key client and internal stakeholders understanding their overall strategies and business objectives
  • Retrieve and assess large volumes of data from clients and their source systems using SQL, R, and similar technologies
  • Map and trace data from various source systems in order to solve a given business problem
  • Promote the use of data and analytics to address business issues, including scoping analytics projects, story- telling to stakeholder groups
  • Work closely with technical and non-technical resources to implement the results of analytics insights to realize business value
  • Measure and monitor the impact of various initiatives implemented at foodservice locations
  • Create static and dynamic visualizations to discover and communicate new insights.


  • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in business analytics, computer science, statistics, economics, or a related field
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role as well as experience interacting with internal organizational leadership
  • Experience in quantitative, qualitative research and/or statistical/analytical techniques
  • Proficiency in 1 or more of the following toolkits:
    • SQL
    • R
    • Python
    • Tableau
  • Understanding of data warehouse concepts a plus
  • Experience using data visualization tools, visual features of statistical software tools, or PowerPoint to communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences
  • Can share examples of how they have used data to solve complex problems
