Business Data Analyst

Job Description:

The Business Data Analyst (also known as Partner Strategy Analyst) for Professional Sports Catering (PSC) will spearhead the delivery of analytics and insights to our operators and partners at our respective Minor League Baseball venues. In this role, you will be responsible for working with our PSC Operations teams to set the strategy for the deployment and focus of analytics insights across different MiLB venues. Additionally, this position is responsible for establishing and advancing the methods, processes and standards of analytics and partner service that fuel the innovation that is driving Levy Operations forward.

Specific Responsibilities:

Implement and Analyze Key Parts of the Minor League Baseball Business:

  •  data for our venues
  • Develop and deploy optimal pricing, product, placement, and promotion strategies for concessions and premium points of distribution
  • Develop reporting (heat maps, dashboards, slide decks, status updates) standards and formats for partner and operator end use
  • Analyze and build optimal solutions around variable labor
  • Leverage available artificial intelligence, consumer insights, and emerging technology tools to drive guest experience and profitability

Other various responsibilities as required

·         Participate in various organizational programs and initiatives such as, but not limited to, supporting sales and retention efforts, performing ad hoc analyses, optimizing group sales strategy, and more


  • Ability to develop and own stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a consultative role
  • 1-3 years of experience in quantitative, analytical and/or client-facing businesses (ideally, consulting)
  • Degree in business analytics, computer science, statistics, economics, or a related field
  • Some experience using SQL, R, Python, and Tableau for data analysis
  • Can share examples of using data to solve complex problems
  • Food service operations awareness/experience
  • Experience communicating complex ideas to non-technical audiences

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in business analytics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, or a related field 
  • Experience (work or school assignments) in at least one of the following tools: 
    • SQL
    • Statistical software package (R strongly preferred)
    • data visualization (Tableau strongly preferred) 
  • Expertise in Excel modeling, with work or school experience in financial modeling a plus 
  • Experience using data visualization tools, visual features of statistical software tools or PowerPoint to communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences 
  • Specific interest (or prior experience) in client service 
  • Can share examples of working effectively in a team environment 
  • Can share examples of how they have used data to solve complex problems 
  • Can share examples of how they have used creativity to achieve excellent outcomes
