East Coast Manager, Food Program Operations

Job Description:

The manager position offers an opportunity to oversee the food service program for the East Coast portfolio of one of E15’s clients.  The position will be responsible for all aspects of food service on the client’s campus, including business strategy, experience strategy and operational optimization. The position is supported by a central strategy and support team that will provide expertise and process support on finance, technology, and consumer insights. Most importantly, the position will be tasked with driving strategy and identifying opportunities to improve food service across all qualitative and quantitative metrics. In this role, the Manager, Food Program Operations – East Coast, will report to the Account Director and be responsible for day-to-day relationship with E15’s client stakeholders.

This job is located in Arlington, VA. Travel may be required 25%-50%.

Core Responsibilities:

·         Support program strategy, scope, goals and deliverables that drive client’s objectives in collaboration with senior executives, E15 team members, and field operations

·         Deploy scalable solutions to improve food program under following areas:

o    Employee Experience Management

o    Business Performance Management

o    Financial Management

o    Vendor Relations Management

o    Operations Management

o    Data Management

·         Assess and support current and future state of food service operations

·         Create and communicate client-facing presentations on findings, business impacts, and recommendations

·         Document and analyze information and processes to solve critical business issues

·         Proactively communicate project details across all levels of the organization and across multiple departments in a clear and concise manner

·         Build internal and external business relationships vital to the success of the project

·         Promote the use of data and analytics to address business issues, including scoping projects, story-telling to stakeholder groups, brainstorming possible data-driven solutions, and incorporating analytical thinking into general business discussions.

·         Analyze and mine business data to identify patterns and correlations among several data points using various statistical techniques

·         Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations


·         3-5 years of experience in managing large on-going programs

·         Communicating complex ideas to non-technical audiences using data visualization tools

·         Defining and executing change strategies

·         Remaining organized and prioritized in a highly matrixed organization


·         Food and/or Retail knowledge/experience a plus

·         Big 4 consulting experience preferred

Skills & Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in business analytics, computer science, statistics, finance, economics, or a related field

·         Ability to develop and own stakeholder relationships (at all levels)

·         Ability to work collaboratively in a consultative role

·         Persuasive and professional communication skills (presentations, documents, emails)

·         Comfortable and competent in front of executives from client and other stakeholders
